We Are Accepting Applications
Gateway Science Academy of St. Louis is currently accepting new enrollment applications for the 2024-2024 and 2025-2026 school years for PreK -12. Please see the application links on this page. The GSA enrollment lottery was conducted online via Zoom on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 10:00 AM. All applications submitted by today's date have been accepted for enrollment. We will send letters to parents explaining the next steps in the enrollment process. At this time, applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
GSA accepts applications from all over the city of St. Louis. However, priority in the enrollment process will be given to the children of staff members, followed by siblings, then residents within the geographical boundaries of the school (priority zip codes: 63109, 63110, 63139, and a small portion of 63143 within city limits), and finally, anyone living within the city limits.
Eligibility
You must be a legal resident of the city of St. Louis to attend the Gateway Science Academy of St. Louis. Consult a school district map or street lines to make sure your home is within the city. The school attendance laws of the State of Missouri are strictly enforced. If you are unsure whether your child is eligible to attend the Gateway Science Academy of St. Louis, the staff of the Registrar’s Office will be happy to answer your questions.
School Enrollment Procedures
Upon submitting an online application, you will receive an email with registration information within the next 48 hours.
Required Documents
- Birth Certificate
- Up-to-date immunizations/physical
- 1 proof of residency
- Safe School Act Form (for grades 1 through 12 only. Must be notarized.)
Proof of Residence
Proof of residence is part of the enrollment packet. One item must be provided as proof of the parent/guardian’s residence. Below are documents that can be used for this purpose:
- A Certificate of Occupancy is required for any two-family or single-home rental, plus two additional proofs
- A current signed lease, mortgage or purchase agreement
- A current utility bill showing the name and address of the parent/guardian
- Income or employment verification
- Tax correspondence
- Home, rental, or car insurance
- Verification from a bank or other financial institution
If you move to a new address at any time during your child’s enrollment in the School, it is your responsibility to inform school officials of your new address and bring proof of residency to the Registrar’s Office.
Pre-K and Kindergarten Eligibility
A child is eligible for admission to Pre-K if the child reaches the age of four (4) before the first day of September of the school year beginning in that calendar year. A child is eligible for admission to Kindergarten if the child reaches the age of five (5) before the first day of September of the school year beginning in that calendar year. A child is eligible for admission to First Grade if the child reaches the age of six (6) before the first day of September of the school year beginning in that calendar year.
